Let us introduce a new enhancement in our Inventory Control module, specifically for the Receive and Issue operations. To improve flexibility and user experience, we’ve added a new menu called "Choose Measurement Unit" inside the Store Order panel.
This feature allows workers to select the measurement unit in which they view ordered product quantities. Since every product can be stored in different units—such as kg, packets, or pieces—this option makes order execution more adaptable to on-the-ground needs.
Three visualization options
Users can now toggle between three different measurement unit views:
✅ Ordered – Displays quantities in the unit in which the order was created (default setting).
✅ By Default – Shows quantities in the standard storage unit for the product.
✅ Base – Converts quantities to the base measurement unit, ensuring consistency in calculations.
The order for execution is initially displayed in the Ordered unit. However, at any point during the operation, the worker can switch the unit to suit their preference. All ordered and executed quantities will be recalculated dynamically based on the product’s set dimensions and conversion ratios.
Personalized and flexible order execution
This customization is remembered per user and separately for Receive and Issue operations. The best part? The final Store Transaction document always reflects the originally ordered unit, ensuring data integrity while allowing flexibility during execution.
With this innovation, workers can scan and process different units of the same product effortlessly, making inventory management more adaptable, efficient, and user-friendly. Try it out today and experience a new level of control over your operations!
