Chats and Discussions (as a side panel to objects) play a crucial role in facilitating real-time collaboration and idea exchange. To make it even more efficient, comfortable and preferred over other services for communication, we’ve introduced several key improvements.
1. Real-time typing indicators
Now, you can see when someone—or even multiple members—are typing, making conversations more dynamic and responsive.
2. Message reactions
React to comments with six different emoji reactions. All reactions are summed up under the comment for easy visibility.
3. Hover to see who reacted
No clicks needed—just hover over the reactions to see who responded and how.
The time relates to the moment the message was sent, not to the time of the reactions.
4. Easy reply initiation
Replying to a preferred comment is just around the corner! On mobile, simply swipe right on a message to initiate a reply instantly.
If you swipe left, you will see message info.
5. File uploads made simple
Upload images and screenshots directly into the chat. Simply paste the screenshot and shoot it with the arrow, or Enter. Uploads are collected in tba Files. (Read more about this in our dedicated blog post.)
6. Comments menu
You can manage deeper the messages with the context menu. Choose to reply, edit or delete or even creat a task from comment.
The menu is revealed with right-click in desktop mode and by a long-press on mobile devices.
7. Precise time indication
Every message now includes a detailed timestamp, showing exactly when it was sent.
You can see it over the comment, in the comment menu and upon hover over the comment.
8. Keep track of all history
Older messages are limited to 100 per scroll, with a “Load More” option to access earlier messages. Want to jump back to the latest chat? Simply tap the downward arrow for a smooth return.
9. Stylize your comments with key combinations
To help emphasize or enhance your comments, we’ve added support for popular key combinations—plus a few extras!
Our chat now recognizes formatting using the markdown-it library and the following shortcuts:
Bold —
Ctrl + BItalic —
Ctrl + IUnderline —
Ctrl + U
You can even combine styles in a single sentence—Your business. Automated.
📱How to apply styles on a mobile phone?
Simply surround your text with the appropriate styling characters:
**bold**→ bold_italic_→ italic++underline++→ underline
⚠️ When you apply a shortcut to selected text, the formatting code will first appear in the input field (e.g., **bold**). After sending, it will be rendered as styled text (e.g., bold).

10. Click-to-Call phone numbers
Whenever someone mentions a valid telephone number in the chat, our system will automatically detect it and make it clickable:
On mobile devices, tapping the number will open your smartphone’s dial pad with the number pre-filled.
On desktop, clicking the number will prompt you to call using your system’s default application (such as Skype, FaceTime, or another calling app).
This saves you time and eliminates the need to copy and paste numbers manually.
📞What counts as a telephone number?
To ensure accuracy and avoid false matches, only properly formatted numbers will be recognized.
A number must meet all the following rules:
✅ Starts with 0 or +
✅ Contains a minimum of 7 digits
✅ Can include spaces, dashes (-), and brackets (( and ) )
✅ Must not contain any letters
✅ Must be surrounded by spaces or punctuation (not part of a word or sentence)

11. Create Tasks from comments
A powerful productivity upgrade comes with the opportunity to create a Task directly from any comment — in just one click. No more switching screens or rewriting instructions — everything is done in a second. This feature is designed to:

How it works
Right-click on any comment (in desktop mode, long press on a mobile device)
Select “Create Task” from the menu
You’ll be redirected to the ToDo Task form, with key fields already prefilled:
📝 Title — generated automatically by AI (accurate & context-aware)
👥 Assigned User — set to the person creating the task
🧵 Social Group — linked if the comment is part of one
📎 Data Object — auto-linked to the original item
This means less time organizing and more time doing. Just spot a task-worthy comment, right-click, and you're on your way.

12. System comments on various group events
With a series of system business rueles we care for your prompt notification and update with what’s happening in your groups. These trigger automatic messages in the chat whenever:
Someone joins or leaves the group (click/tap on their name to see their profile card)
the Group is renamed
a Task is assigned to the group
an Activity is linked to the group (follows)
a File is uploaded - when a file is dropped into the chat window, or uloaded through tab Files, and when a video recording is completed after a video meeting
a Meeting has started - plus option ot Join the meeting as well
Additionally, tapping the system message reveals the time the event occurred.
13. Message group members from Mobile
We’ve made it easier than ever to start a direct conversation with a member of your group – right from your mobile device!
Now, when using the groups chat application on mobile, you can instantly send a direct message to a group member inside a group, over their visiting card if you:
Tap on the avatar
Tap on a member’s name in a
@mentioncomment,When you tap on their name in a system comment
When you send a message like that, this will automatically create a new group chat between you and them, if there has not been one, OR will open the existing chat group.
The feature is available in web client, with a mouse pointer click.
These enhancements streamline how you connect with teammates, making communication faster and more intuitive on the go.
14. Smart Case linking in comments
A new enhancement for clients subscribed to the Agile Project Management module.
From now on, whenever someone mentions “Case” followed by a valid case number in the chat, the system will:
🔗 Automatically convert it into a clickable link that takes you directly to the corresponding case in the platform.
📝 Show a preview of the case title on hover, so you can instantly recognize what the case is about without leaving the chat.
📎A click on the link opens the Case.
This feature makes collaboration faster and more seamless by:
Eliminating the need to search manually for case numbers.
Reducing context switching between chat and case lists.
Helping teams quickly align on discussions around specific cases.
Improving productivity and accuracy during project communication.
This enhancement is now live and available for all clients using the Agile Project Management module.
