A powerful and long awaited new enhancement to your web client experience is present in the fresh v.26 — Inline editing and Copy/Paste functionality directly in navigators! This brings a major usability boost, giving you faster, more intuitive control over your data — right inside the grid.
✅ What’s New?
Navigators — grids representing documents, products, customers, deals, sales lines, and more — are now editable directly in place. You can create a new record, edit a record without the need to open a separate editor.
1. Select and edit directly in the grid
Click on any row to select it. A new icon will appear in the ribbon:
Selected: 1.Select multiple rows using Ctrl + Click. The count updates accordingly.
Once selected, click the Edit icon to enter inline editing mode. You can hit Edit immediately after opening the navigator as well.
Editable fields will become active — for example, change the product name or switch a unit of measure.
Fields that are not editable (e.g., document number, status, released documents) remain protected and greyed out.
After making your changes, simply press Save & Reload to apply them. If any errors occur, the system will notify you immediately with helpful indicators.
⚠️ Released documents cannot be edited.
2. Copy & Paste rows
Easily copy selected rows using right-click > Copy, then paste them into another location using Paste.
Great for duplicating content or transferring data between different views or documents.
Grids support multi-row paste with validation.
3. Paste new records from external sources
Need to add new records quickly? Just copy your preset data from an external table or spreadsheet and paste it directly into the navigator.
📌 Be sure to include all key fields and required values in the prepared data sheet.
The new rows will be inserted and automatically selected.
The pasted rows may be positioned lower in the list, depending on sorting by the first column — scroll to locate them or use the Advanced filter
If any required or reference field (like wrong Product Group) is incorrect or missing, the field will be highlighted in red.
You can correct errors directly in the grid before saving.
🔍 Smart error handling & language support
If your pasted value (e.g., product name) doesn’t match the list, the system tries to help — it will attempt transliteration across supported languages to find a match.
If it still can’t find one, the field stays red with your pasted value. You can fix it manually using the dropdown suggestions.
⏯️ Continue after error & interrupt large paste jobs
You can continue editing even if some pasted values contain errors — all valid rows will be accepted, and incorrect ones will be marked.
